Healthcare Solutions Completes Fourth Installation for the Bon Secours Richmond Health System
RICHMOND, Va. May 17, 2006 Agility Healthcare Solutions, a provider of RFID-enabled resource and workflow management solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced that it has completed its fourth installation for the Bon Secours Richmond Health System at St. Francis Medical Center.
"Bon Secours Richmond operates four award winning hospitals in the metropolitan area," said Chris Holbrook, director of operations for Agility Healthcare Solutions. "We are thrilled to be providing the industry's largest RFID-enabled asset management program for this exemplary healthcare system. We have already tagged and are monitoring more than 10,000 assets for Bon Secours. With the addition of St. Francis Medical Center we will continue to deliver tangible and measurable results."
Bon Secours Richmond is a four-hospital health system with over 750 combined beds. St. Francis Medical Center, part of the Bon Secours Richmond Health System, is a newly built 130-bed facility, located in Midlothian, Va.
Since the program began in 2004, Bon Secours has realized significant improvements in equipment utilization, equipment shrinkage, and rental costs. These factors have contributed to a reduction in the total cost of equipment management by more than $1.5 million. Through AgileTrac, Agility's comprehensive mobile medical equipment management solution, Bon Secours has achieved a return on its investment that is approximately seven times greater than its original projection.
Agility is the first provider to offer a mobile asset management solution designed specifically for the healthcare industry featuring dedicated operational support services to optimize business processes, monitor and measure cost reductions and identify equipment utilization improvement opportunities. RFID technology enables Agility's automatic tracking and management of mobile assets including medical equipment, surgical instruments and supplies. |
