Selects Robert Moorey to Lead the Healthcare Industry's Largest RFID-Enabled Mobile Asset Management Program
RICHMOND, Va. – May 19, 2004 – Agility Healthcare Solutions has selected Robert Moorey to be regional director of operations for delivery and on-going support of its radio frequency identification-enabled (RFID-enabled) mobile asset management program for Bon Secours Richmond Health System in Richmond, Virginia.
Agility's RFID-enabled mobile asset management program for Bon Secours Richmond is the largest in the U.S. healthcare industry. Moorey is working closely with a variety of groups at Bon Secours Richmond to deliver AgileTrac, Agility's comprehensive mobile medical equipment management program, to three hospitals in the system. Bon Secours Richmond, which has a fourth hospital under construction that will feature AgileTrac, provides a variety of healthcare services and is one of Richmond 's largest employers.
Moorey has a decade of biomedical equipment, clinical engineering and facility management experience. He is former southern operations manager of Massachusetts-based medical equipment maintenance and management firm Technology in Medicine Inc. (TiM). Previously he founded Authorized CE Inc. and served as vice president of operations until TiM acquired the company in June 2002. At the beginning of his career he was master instructor at the U.S. Air Force's Biomedical Equipment Apprentice Course for four years where once he was named Instructor of the Year.
Moorey earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from Wayland Baptist University and is certified by the International Certification Commission in both general biomedical and imaging equipment. He serves on the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Technology Council and served on the Biomedical Equipment Technician(BMET) Task Force. He served two terms as president of the Virginia Biomedical Association and sits on ECPI College of Technology's advisory board for biomedical equipment technologies.
